More Riders reports on a New York Times story about Commuter Advertising, a Chicago-based start-up company that allows transit agencies to integrate advertisements into their audio systems. “For more than a month, London Transit’s 192-bus fleet has been alerting its 75,000 passengers each weekday about upcoming stops with internal verbal displays and verbal announcements.
