I’ve been editing The Transit Wire since October 2008, and most of that time has been without financial support. Subscriptions are free, I don’t take advertisements, and there are no plans to change either of those policies.
It’s a true pleasure to run the site and I appreciate the feedback and comments received from readers, Facebook fans, and Twitter followers.
But The Transit Wire has some out-of-pocket costs — especially as many previously free online sources have begun to charge for their content. And while it is a labor of love, The Transit Wire requires a lot of my time to find, write, and post stories five days a week. So if you like what you see, please consider supporting this endeavor.
You can use the button below to make a contribution of any size via PayPal. You don’t need a PayPal account to contribute, and PayPal will convert international currencies into US dollars. Just remember to enter the amount of your contribution in the box labeled “Item Price.”
You can also show your support by commenting on posts, subscribing to daily updates, following The Transit Wire on Facebook or Twitter, sharing stories with your colleagues, sending me story ideas, or buying one of my photographs.
And if you’d like to hire me to create a blog or newsletter tailored to your organization, please email me at email@example.com. I’d love to talk with you.
Any and all support is appreciated. Thanks again for reading The Transit Wire.
