RTA rider at bus stop waiting for Lyft

Greater Dayton RTA teams with Lyft in pilot program

The Greater Dayton Regional Transit Authority (OH) will introduce a partnership with Lyft and other local transportation providers to provide connections to fixed-route bus service in a program called RTA Connect.

Starting on June 4, customers traveling in the southwest portion of Montgomery County can book a Lyft trip from designated Connect stops and transfer to specific RTA routes. The service area includes Farmersville, Germantown, and Miamisburg. During the pilot phase, the RTA Connect trip will be free with a discount code.

Customers can use the Lyft mobile application or call the RTA call center to request a trip.  Passengers can call the RTA directly to request a lift-equipped vehicle.
