The Metropolitan Transportation Authority (NY) is launching real-time information on interactive kiosks in stations across the city.
The MTA is working in partnership with advertising company Intersection to deploy real-time train arrival information on the On the Go kiosks in 42 stations.
The service aggregates data from 10 unique sources of MTA train and bus arrival information, prioritizing the feed based on percentage accuracy of the data, and choosing the best and most relevant information to present to customers on the touchscreen displays. The boards display headway information if real-time updates are not available.
On the Go touchscreen kiosks enable customers to plan a transit trip, check train status, and access neighborhood maps.
