Napa County rolls out real-time info

by Susan on October 25, 2011

The Napa County Transportation and Planning Agency (CA) is rolling out Where’s My Bus?, which will allow VINE riders to track real-time arrival information via smartphone or computer.  “Anybody that’s got a web-enabled phone and is using the bus service is going to find this very useful,” said Tom Roberts, NCTPA’s manager of public transit. “The system constantly updates its predictions.”  Although the agency did not develop native smartphone applications for the data, Roberts expects the arrival updates to be integrated into 511.org, which provides service information and real-time updates for transit systems in the San Francisco Bay Area.
