Privacy experts question Clipper card

Privacy experts are raising questions about the San Francisco (CA) Bay Area’s regional Clipper card. As passengers transmit their location and travel history to the area’s transit operators in the name of convenience, some worry about protecting that data. A state senator who sponsored legislation to protect the identity of tollbooth customers wants to extend the same protection to transit riders. Link to NBC Bay Area.
