Portland’s TriMet (OR) has added a text-messaging feature to its TransitTracker application. Now customers can send a text message with their stop ID number and receive real-time arrival predictions by return message. According to TriMet’s website, the text messages include a short advertisement to help keep the service free. Link to full story in Metro Magazine.
