When British Prime Minister David Cameron led a delegation to India, he included some of the UK’s top data experts. Blogger David McCandless was among them and recapped the visit in the Guardian. At a “hackday” sponsored by Google India, he acknowledged a “slight colonial attitude:”

He reports on one information designer’s efforts to redesign the bus map for Chennai, using crowdsourcing to gather data on the routes. Link to full story in the Guardian.
