A U.S. District Court judge dismissed a challenge that tried to block Metrolink (CA) from using video surveillance cameras to monitor train crews. The Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers and Trainmen sued Metrolink in state and federal court, claiming that the commuter rail operator violated employees’ rights. The California State Court’s have recently set a precedent which needs to be reviewed in any system which is setup to create court admissible surveillance data and that is based on California v Khaled.
This will be interesting to see how the Federal Court takes notice of this ruling.
