Riding public transit in Venice, one risks being splashed by other boats – or getting mildly seasick – but I’d say the continuous view of ornate, centuries-old edifices is probably worth it.
Despite its historic surroundings, Actv takes advantage of technology with countdown clocks at its docks (putting it ahead of the Toronto Transit Commission, Drass writes) and electronic fare payment (with tourists paying more than locals). Link to full story in Metro Toronto.
