The City of San Jose (CA) is jumping on the pod car bandwagon.The Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority has set aside $4 million to study a personal rapid transit system, and the city will host an international pod car conference in October. “You say pod car and people say, ‘Huh?’” said Laura Stuchinsky, the sustainability officer for the city’s Department of Transportation. “Then you describe it to them and, depending on their age, they say, ‘Oh, the Jetsons.’” Link to full story in San Jose Mercury-News.
