Officials hope that the monorail serving the Cal Expo state fair will return in July. Fixing the balky system did not go smoothly, according to The Sacramento Bee:
Doors wouldn’t open. Doors wouldn’t close. Trains refused to leave the station. Trains refused to enter the station.
But after more than $1 million in repairs, the 42-year-old system is back on track. Cal Expo’s Brian May said: “We were going to make this work no matter what it would take.” Link to full story in The Sacramento Bee.
