Regional travel info website launched in Scotland

by Susan on May 21, 2010

The Tayside and Central Scotland Transport Partnership launched tactran connect, a website that provides regional multimodal travel information. Users can plan a transit trip, check out live traffic reports, find a local bicycle route, or identify a ride-sharing partner. “Often a lack of information prevents people from traveling in the way they’d like. We have to provide the kind of comprehensive information that will help them make the right choices — and that is what the new website does,” said TACTRAN chair and Dundee city councilor Will Dawson. “The aim has been to have a ‘one stop shop’ where people can quickly and simply check out their travel options. All forms of travel are covered — bus, rail, walk, cycle, car, air, motorcycle, taxi.” Link to full story in STV.
