Sonoma County welcomes new buses

by Susan on April 27, 2010

Sonoma County Transit (CA) is a few weeks away from putting 10 new buses into service. The 40-foot vehicles will use compressed natural gas, making Sonoma County the only Bay Area agency to fuel all of its heavy buses with CNG. Customer amenities include Wi-Fi and reading lights. Each bus cost $455,000; funding came from state, federal, and Bay Area Air Quality Management District sources.  Link to full story in The Press Democrat.
