Thanks to some tech-savvy graduates of the Stevens Institute of Technology, passengers can track Hoboken’s community shuttle The Hop (NJ). Riders can check the real-time bus location on the Internet or via text message. According to Planetizen, the application required less than $500 in materials and took advantage of open-source code.
