Smart car-sharing service to expand

After a successful test with the City of Austin (TX), Car2Go will extend its car-sharing program to all Austin residents. The pilot, which has been extended to November 2010, allows city officials to access one of 200 smart fortwo vehicles for work-related travel in central Texas. Car2Go pays the city for on-street parking for the shared cars in the form of driving minutes for employee trips.  Link to full story in The New York Times.
