King County (WA) plans to install up to 200 public charging stations at transit park-and-rides, vanpool sites, and county motor pool lots. The proposal would allow drivers to plug in their electric vehicles before boarding a bus or van; drivers would also have access to charging stations at county facilities. The three-year pilot project would use federal funds, including part of a $15 million grant awarded to the Puget Sound Clean Cities Association to develop electric vehicle infrastructure.
