Chicago university installs bus tracking displays

by Susan on March 23, 2010

DePaul University is displaying real-time information for Chicago Transit Authority (IL) buses on its Lincoln Park and downtown campuses. “While Bus Tracker is most commonly accessed from handheld devices, this development will allow those without handhelds easy access to the Bus Tracker system or eliminate the hassle of logging on to the system,” said DePaul spokesman John Holden. Several stores in Chicago’s Wicker Park and Bucktown neighborhoods also have Bus Tracker displays, and CTA hopes to make the information displays available in other locations.
