The U.S. Access Board is proposing to update the regulations that govern access to electronic and information technology for people with disabilities. Covered technologies include telephones, cell phones, computer hardware and software, websites, media players, electronic documents, and mobile devices. In addition, the board proposes to broaden its ADA accessibility guidelines to cover interactive transaction machines such as point-of-sales machines and self-service kiosks.
