Amtrak launched wireless Internet service on all 20 Acela Express trains, in ClubAcela lounges, and in six major stations between Boston (MA) and Washington (DC). “Amtrak will continually improve the service as Wi-Fi technology evolves, and we are evaluating opportunities to expand AmtrakConnect to additional routes and stations throughout the country,” said senior director for on-board systems Lenetta McCampbell. The service is currently free, but Amtrak will review its pricing policy after an introductory period. Link to full story in Cellular-News.
