Google Transit launches in Europe

Google launched Transit, the add-on to Google Maps that incorporates public transit routes and schedules, in Brussels this week and plans to roll out the service to other European cities at a later date. “The launch of Google Transit in Europe’s capital will make it easy for residents and visitors alike to use the Brussels public transport system more often, and more efficiently,” said Ed Parsons, geospatial technologist at Google.
