The New York Metropolitan Transportation Authority rolled out four subway cars equipped with video surveillance equipment today, part of the agency’s ongoing efforts to improve safety and security. “Video camera systems have clearly been shown to help deter criminal activity on transit vehicles,” said New York City Transit president Thomas F.
