Gary seeks funds for real-time info, new routes

The Gary Public Transportation Corporation (IN) is seeking funds from the Northwest Indiana Regional Bus Authority for new routes and technology upgrades. In addition to the service improvements, GPTC wants to upgrade the downtown Adam Benjamin Metro Center to provide bus arrival information on an LED sign or television monitor. “We’re trying to find ways to get real time information to our customers,” said marketing and planning director David Wright.
