T-Tracker gets tested

by Susan on February 15, 2010

Boston Globe reporter Noah Bierman field tested T-Tracker, a pilot project that provides real-time arrival information via cellphone for selected Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority bus routes.  The results were mixed. Two predictions were correct, but a third bus did not show up at the estimated time. In addition, although the system requires users to enter the bus stop identification number, the information is still only available online. According to The Globe, the MBTA plans to make the bus stop ID information more widely available soon.  Link to full story and video clip  in The Boston Globe.
