Inside SEPTA’s nerve center

Decision-makers worked through the night in the Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority‘s control room to make sure that the system’s buses, trains, and trolleys were back in business after a blizzard dumped 20 inches of snow on the region.  As emergency workers were dispatched to remove fallen trees and free buses that got stuck in the snow, Michael Zaleski, assistant director of control center information, kept posting updates on SEPTA’s website, Twitter account, and RSS feed.
