The City of Adelaide will have a new smart card system in place by 2013, according to South Australia Transport Minister Patrick Conlon. Announcing the $30 million project, Conlon said, “Our current ticketing system has been in place for nearly 24 years – it has served us well but it is time to replace it as we continue our massive public transport revitalisation.” Link to full story in The Independent Weekly.
