The Las Vegas Monorail Company (NV), which filed for bankruptcy protection in January, faces an uncertain future. According to the Las Vegas Sun, the company does not expect to generate enough revenue to pay off its debts, leaving three options: (1) emerge from bankruptcy to operate as an independent nonprofit company, (2) become a government-controlled transit line, or (3) shut down entirely. According to CEO Curtis Myles, the company’s goal is to get its finances in order and expand service to McCarran International Airport. Link to full story in Las Vegas Sun.
