A fuel cell powerplant has surpassed 5,000 operating hours on an AC Transit bus serving the Oakland (CA) area. Interim general manager Mary King said, “This is an important milestone for our program that shows the steady progress of fuel cell technology and its potential value to urban transit fleets.” UTC Power provided the fuel cell system.
