IndyGo, which serves Indianapolis (IN), launched an online trip planner this week. The agency is already using Facebook and Twitter, and hopes to introduce real-time text alerts in the future. “By using technology — such as Twitter, Facebook and this new Trip Planner — to communicate with passengers, we hope that people will find it much easier to use this transit system,” said Samantha Cross, director of business development, in a press release. “We’re optimistic about these new tools and how they can boost our relationships throughout the community.” Link to full story in IndyStar.com.
