Megabus.com announced its participation in the University of Vermont‘s Green Coach Certification pilot program. Megabus.com received certification for meeting or exceeding the industry average of 148 passenger miles per gallon. In addition, a GPS system allows staff to shut down bus engines remotely to reduce idling time. Link to full story in Metro Magazine.
