Spoof MTA announcements attract Twitter followers

FakeMTA, a series of satirical tweets about the New York City transit system, has attracted more than 2,000 followers on Twitter. Some sample tweets:

  • MTA biodiesel bus plan founders due to lack of necessary trans fats.
  • Uptown 3 trains will be delayed approximately three weeks, due to a tear in the time/space continuum.

Josh Oswald and Reed Jackson, described by AM New York as “bitingly sarcastic transit buffs,” write the posts. Link to full story in AM New York.
