Two Oklahoma organizations teamed up last weekend to turn Thanksgiving leftovers into fuel. Tulsa Biofuels and the Metropolitan Environmental Trust paid people 10 cents per gallon for their used cooking oil. Tulsa Biofuels converts the cooking oil into biodiesel, which it sells to local companies. Among the customers is the Metropolitan Tulsa Transit Authority, which uses the biofuel in its buses.
