PC World writes about two competing approaches for incorporating NFC features into mobile phones. Both were on display at the CARTES exhibition in Paris last week. One approach takes the SIM card in GSM phones and links it with near-field communications circuitry embedded in the phone’s case. The other uses the Bluetooth connection available in many cell phones to communicate with an external NFC reader. Link to full story in PC World.
