Twitter officially announced the release of its Geotagging API last week. The feature allows Twitter developers to incorporate geographic information into applications. From Twitter’s blog: “Now you can find out what live music is playing right now in your neighborhood or what people visiting Checkpoint Charlie are saying today about the anniversary of the Berlin Wall.” The feature is disabled by default.
