Seoul subway to deploy real-time wireless surveillance

South Korea’s Seoul Metropolitan Rapid Transit Corporation plans to install a real-time mobile wireless video surveillance system in its subway system. The system will  provide streaming video to and from trains moving at 50 mph, allowing operators to preview conditions at the station before entering. The $60 million system,which will be rolled out in June 2010, will incorporate a wireless infrastructure mesh solution from Firetide, Inc. Link to full press release.
