Ottawa cancels next-stop announcements

by Susan on October 30, 2009

The City of Ottawa (ON) has cancelled a procurement for next-stop announcements on the city’s buses. According to the Ottawa Citizen, the city balked after receiving a best and final offer from one of the four bidders. Rather than negotiating a scaled-down project, the city council voted to cancel the process and start over. “This gets muddier and muddier. I just want to see a clean procurement,” said Councillor Rainer Bloess. Link to full story in Ottawa Citizen.
