A hydrogen fuel-cell hybrid bus visited the Washington (DC) headquarters of the U.S. Department of Transportation. According to Secretary Ray LaHood’s blog, “Proterra, maker of this bus and its Battery Electric counterpart, is a small company doing big things.” The bus can run on battery power for three hours, recharge in 10 minutes,and produces no emissions.
