Delaware’s DART First State has added solar-powered lighting at selected bus stops and shelters throughout the state. A photovoltaic array is located on the roof of the shelter or on the bus stop pole; the stored energy operates an LED light at night. “Along with 22 hybrid electric buses in our fleet, DART is pleased to be providing our riders with an ever greening transit system,” said DART executive director Stephen Kingsberry.
