Surveillance cameras on the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority‘s buses have helped the agency’s police officers investigate accidents, identify suspects, and solve crimes. About 350 of the MBTA’s 1,100 buses are equipped with the cameras, which provide views inside and outside the vehicle. “I’ll tell you, there isn’t a day that goes by that we don’t use them,” said Transit Police sergeant Ken Sprague.
