Dallas Area Rapid Transit (TX) is considering purchasing about 600 buses powered by compressed natural gas, reversing an earlier recommendation to buy diesel buses. According to a staff analysis, CNG buses would cost $142 million more than diesel, but fuel savings would offset the additional upfront expenses.
