The New York Metropolitan Transportation Authority has dropped its objections to StationStops, an iPhone application that provides commuters with bus and rail schedules. The MTA had previously asked Connecticut blogger and developer Chris Schoenfeld to stop selling the application, which sparked debates about the ownership of schedule data. “I’m being very congratulatory to them and they are making meaningful gestures to move in the right direction,” said Schoenfeld. “Most of us developers are cautiously optimistic.” Link to full story in the Connecticut Post.
