Las Vegas maglev: A ghost train?

Comparing it to a “ghost train in a dime novel,” Las Vegas Review-Journal columnist John L. Smith is the latest to weigh in on the proposed magnetic levitation train between Las Vegas (NV) and Anaheim (CA). Writing about the political feuding that came to light last week, he asks: ”Can the futuristic maglev project be resurrected despite such powerful political opposition?” One supporter thinks so. “The train in and of itself will be an attraction for Las Vegas,” said Nevada AFL-CIO executive secretary-treasurer Danny Thompson. “There is no other maglev train in the United States.” Link to full story in Las Vegas Review-Journal.
