With two hybrid buses in operation since December, the Lowell Regional Transit Authority (MA) is using technology to go greener. LRTA plans to acquire two additional hybrids using federal stimulus funds and also seeks to install photovoltaic panels on the roof of the agency’s maintenance facility.
