Feds projected to fill 11,500 IT jobs

A new study projects that the federal government will hire 11,500 information technology workers over the next three years, especially in the areas of defense and homeland security. The report, from Partnership for Public Service, surveyed 35 federal agencies about their overall hiring needs.  In reporting this information, Government Technology asks whether these new federal jobs could ”put a drain on state and local talent pools.” Link to full story in Government Technology.
