Eighteen firms have submitted expressions of interest to the Metropolitan Transportation Authority to provide wireless Internet service on the Long Island Rail Road and Metro-North Railroad in the New York metropolitan area. According to Newsday, firms include Verizon Wireless, Cablevision, AT&T, and Sprint. Link to full story in Newsday.
