New hope for hydrogen storage

Researchers at the Los Alamos National Laboratory and the University of Alabama announced a breakthrough in hydrogen storage that could pave the way for economical hydrogen-fueled vehicles. The research focuses on  methods for the efficient recycling of ammonia borane, a potential hydrogen-releasing fuel. “This research represents a breakthrough in the field of hydrogen storage and has significant practical applications,” said Dr. Gene Peterson, leader of the chemistry division at Los Alamos.
