Google’s Map Maker empowers citizen cartographers

Google’s Map Maker application allows people around the world to map their countries. With news launches in Mexico and Eastern Europe, Google has doubled the number of citizen cartographers in the Western Hemisphere. According to Google’s LatLong blog, contributed maps range from entire countries to individual streets and have included the coastline of Little Tobago, roads in the Ivory Coast, and a golf course in the Caribbean.
