The New York State Department of Transportation has set up Twitter accounts for each of the Metropolitan Transportation Authority‘s subway lines. Riders can select their line at twitter.511ny.org and sign up for real-time service updates. In addition, the MTA provides Twitter updates on promotional events. Link to full story in New York Post.
