São Paulo, Brazil, has launched the first hydrogen-fueled bus in Latin America. Empresa Metropolitana de Transportes Urbanos will operate the vehicle on a dedicated busway that links two suburban districts. According to an EMTU report, “Brazil is one of five countries in the world that have mastered this technology and developed hybrid buses.” The state government hopes to export hydrogen buses in the future.
