Metrorail meets with vendors about train control backup

Following a recommendation from the National Transportation Safety Board to develop a real-time backup system for its train control system, officials from the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (DC) have begun meeting with vendors. According to The Washington Post, Metro has been “inundated” with emails from interested companies and has already met with more than two dozen. Link to full story in The Washington Post.
